Air
In compressed air applications, the demands on blow-off silencers are relatively low: apart from pressure and temperature, no special gas properties typically need to be considered. As a result, these silencers can usually be manufactured cost-effectively from durable carbon steel – making them ideal for a wide range of industrial uses.
Oxygen
For applications involving pure oxygen, our silencers are manufactured entirely from high-grade stainless steel. Due to the high reactivity of oxygen, each component undergoes thorough cleaning and is delivered in a fully degreased, assembly-ready condition. This process meets the stringent requirements for oxygen-compatible systems and ensures maximum operational safety.
Other Gases and Gasmixtures
For all other gases and gas mixtures, we use only materials and coatings specifically selected to meet the respective application requirements. Depending on the application, carbon steel and stainless steel can also be combined to achieve an optimal balance between cost-efficiency and durability.
We systematically consider critical factors such as operating temperature, corrosiveness, and chemical reactivity. The properties of gas mixtures are precisely calculated—always based on the actual thermodynamic and acoustical characteristics of the gases involved.
